The National EarthKind rose garden, The Compost tea rose garden and the LifeRoses.com store are open during the summer months from June 21st-Aug 3rd, Wednesday-Saturday, from 9 AM-9 PM, Sunday 1:30-6:30. We will be closed July 4th. You can also make an appointment to see the garden at other times, call 503 757 0670.

Due to the unusual cold spring, which effects the flowering of our test garden, we are delaying the Grand Opening from May 8, 2008 to June 21st, 2008.

There are 300 roses currently in the test garden. 100 more roses will be planted this spring as we plant another organic rose garden where we will use compost and compost tea.

We have partnered with Texas A&M to test the "National EarthKind" roses. This National EarthKind Test Garden in Gresham, OR. is the only complete test garden on the west coast. There are 30 hardy varieties that are randomized in 3 different blocks (90 in all). This garden was planted in the fall of 2007. Seventeen of the EarthKind rose collection are Dr. Griffith Buck's roses. We also have planted an awesome selection of Easy Elegance Roses from Bailey's Nursery featuring the masterpieces of Ping Lim's breeding program. The Knockout series of roses are on display as well. 140 Double Knockout roses line our driveway.
